Most people believe that chiropractors treat back pain. That is true, but there is so much more that chiropractic care can achieve. Because chiropractors help to remove pressure from the nervous system, they can also influence many other conditions. It is common to hear chiropractic patients say that they came in for back pain and their headaches got better.
The benefits that chiropractors provide can be seen in a variety of health conditions. Even relatively healthy people can see improvements. Most of us put our bodies though a lot. Regular adjustments can help to restore balance within the body.
Chiropractic Explained
Your spine is designed to protect your spinal cord. Your spinal cord is responsible for moving information from your brain to the rest of your body via your nervous system. Your spine is the protective case for one of the most important parts of your body, and a chiropractor can help you maintain it.
A concise explanation of chiropractic is that adjustments directly affect muscle and bone structures by reducing pain and increasing joint motion. Adjustments can also reduce pressure on nerves, allowing the body to resume normal function.
This is not a claim that chiropractic adjustments treat disease, but it does suggest that some people will see improvements in conditions that are outside of the treatment area. For some examples; our patients have reported additional benefits of improved carpel tunnel, sleeping better, increased mobility and better digestion.

Depending on the patient, there are several different chiropractic techniques from which to choose. Patient preference, physical condition, and exam findings help to determine which technique would be most effective. Some of these techniques include: manual (hands on), drop table, traction and instrument adjusting or a combination of these. We also offer concurrent rehabilitation with our own Physical Therapist. Many patients have an idea from past experience of what works for them and we strive to work within their comfort level.
Dr. Warninger is trained to diagnose and treat injuries and disorders that involve the nervous system, muscles and bones. Like other areas in health care, new patients will undergo a consultation as well as a physical examination. Once this process is completed Dr. Warninger will use all of the information to establish a diagnosis and create an individualized treatment plan.
